Hello Friends,

Time: 8:30 PM
Radio Station: Queer Radio 4ZZZ 102.1FM Brisbane
Don't miss this discussion where we'll address the challenges faced by those who navigate different worlds due to their sexual orientation, gender identity, or spiritual beliefs. Together, we'll explore ways to bridge gaps and foster unity. Tune in tonight and gain a deeper understanding of the complexities faced by individuals who walk between worlds. Let's come together as a community to learn, grow, and embrace diversity.
#OnThisDay
Today we honor the brave individuals who ignited the Stonewall movement in 1969, forging a path for LGBTQ+ rights on a global scale. Let us also rejoice in milestones that have touched our community more directly. In 1971, within the walls of a church hall in Balmain, New South Wales, the first public gathering of CAMP gay women and men in Australia took place, uniting hearts and voices in the pursuit of equality. OnThisDay in 1981, the Gay Activists Alliance (GAA) in Brisbane launched Gay Pride Week, which began with a memorable picnic at Mt Cootha and a service conducted by the Metropolitan Community Church Brisbane.
As we honor the progress made and acknowledge the obstacles that still lie ahead, let us wholeheartedly express our gratitude to our LGBTQ+ family, allies, and the embracing affirming churches for their unwavering support, love, and commitment to inclusivity. Together, we will break down barriers, challenge prejudice, and foster a society that is more compassionate and accepting.
Feel free to share this invitation with others who might be interested. Let's make this discussion accessible to as many people as possible.
Thank you for your support, and I look forward to connecting with you tonight on the airwaves!
Warm regards,
Pastor Shane St. Reynolds
