The 17th Assembly of the Uniting Church in Australia has elected Rev Dr Paul Dongwon Goh as the President-elect, making him the first Korean to hold this position. Addressing the Assembly in both English and Korean, Paul expressed his gratitude: “Beloved Assembly members, I am incredibly honoured and humbled by your trust and support.

Paul shared his hopeful vision for the Uniting Church, emphasising the power of love and the potential for renewal: “I believe God will continue to revive us in his surprising ways.” He will serve as the 18th President from 2027 to 2030. Dr  Paul was formerly an associate teacher at Pilgrim Theological College, we pray for Paul as he embarks on this important journey in ministry.
