Embracing Easter's Promise: A Reflection on Time in August

Even though the calendar tells us it's August, there's something profoundly timeless about Easter's message that deserves our attention all year round. The Church of England shared a beautiful rendition of the hymn "Jesus Christ is Risen Today," performed by St Martin's Voices in the tranquil grounds of Lambeth Palace. This performance not only celebrated the joy of Easter but also reminded us that the resurrection of Jesus is a truth that extends far beyond the confines of a single season.

In the Bible, John 11:25-26 offers a powerful affirmation of this truth:

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.’” Alleluia! 

These verses remind us that Easter’s promise of new life is not bound by a particular date on the calendar. Jesus' resurrection signifies more than just a historical event; it represents a profound and ongoing reality that can uplift our spirits and provide hope at any time of the year.
