🌈 Church Directory
The purpose of this Church Directory is to offer an online resource where individuals can find and connect with LGBTI+ friendly Christian churches.
We also recommend you read our article on Finding an LGBTQ-Friendly Church.
If you are located in the UK click here to find an inclusive church, and if you're in the US or anywhere else in the world, we recommend Metropolitan Community Church (MCC), or you can find a church using maps by clicking here.

Note: This is a general directory and not a list of welcoming or affirming churches. Inclusion does not indicate a church’s stance on LGBTQ+ inclusion.
What Does "Affirming" Mean?
“Affirming” describes churches that see homosexuality as non-sinful and actively welcome LGBTQ+ individuals. These congregations promote inclusivity in community life, including leadership roles. Although terms like “gay-friendly” and “welcoming” are related, they can indicate varying degrees of support. It’s essential to recognize that a church’s affirming status can change, so this page should be used as a starting point, as these issues are always evolving. For example, the Uniting Church in Australia permits same-sex marriages, while the Anglican Church in Australia does not, and Metropolitan Community Church is fully affirming (Queer to the core) and supportive of same-sex marriage.

Disclaimer: Religious trauma is real, and while we do our best to list affirming and welcoming churches, no community is perfect. Not every individual in a congregation may be fully affirming, so please keep your wits about you and take your time to find your tribe. Remember, as Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21). Be careful, seek out trusted elders in our community, and don’t hesitate to get a second opinion before diving into a new congregation. Your safety and well-being matter most.
